आप सभी को शिर्डी के साईं बाबा ग्रुप की ओर साईं-वार की हार्दिक शुभ कामनाएं , हम प्रत्येक साईं-वार के दिन आप के समक्ष बाबा जी की जीवनी पर आधारित श्री साईं सच्चित्र का एक अध्याय प्रस्तुत करने के लिए श्री साईं जी से अनुमति चाहते है , हमें आशा है की हमारा यह कदम घर घर तक श्री साईं सच्चित्र का सन्देश पंहुचा कर हमें सुख और शान्ति का अनुभव करवाएगा, किसी भी प्रकार की त्रुटी के लिए हम सर्वप्रथम श्री साईं चरणों में क्षमा याचना करते है...





श्री साई सच्चरित्र - अध्याय 51 - उपसंहार

अध्याय – 51 पूर्ण हो चुका है और अब अन्तिम अध्याय (मूल ग्रन्थ का 52 वां अध्याय) लिखा जा रहा है और उसी प्रकार सूची लिखने का वचन दिया है, जिस प्रकार की अन्य मराठी धार्मिक काव्यग्रन्थों में विषय की सूची अन्त में लिखी जाती है । अभाग्यवश हेमाडपंत के कागजपत्रों की छानबीन करने पर भी वह सूची प्राप्त न हो सकी । तब बाब के एक योग्य तथा धार्मि भक्त ठाणे के अवकाशप्राप्त मामलतदार श्री. बी. व्ही. देव ने उसे रचकर प्रस्तुत किया । पुस्तक के प्रारम्भ में ही विषयसूची देने तथा प्रत्येक अध्याय में विषय का संकेत शीर्षक स्वरुप लिखना ही आधुनिक प्रथा है, इसलिये यहाँ अनुक्रमाणिका नहीं दी जा रही है । अतः इस अध्याय को उपसंहार समझना ही उपयुक्त होगा । अभाग्यवश हेमा़डपंत उस समय तक जीवित न रहे कि वे अपने लिखे हुए इस अध्याय की प्रति में संशोधन करके उसे छपने योग्य बनाते ।



श्री सदगुरु साई की महानता

हे साई, मैं आपकी चरण वन्दना कर आपसे शरण की याचना करता हूँ, क्योकि आप ही इस अखिल विश्व के एकमात्र आधार है । यदि ऐसी ही धारणा लेकर हम उनका भजन-पूजन करें तो यह निश्चित है कि हमारी समस्त इच्छाएं शीघ्र ही पूर्ण होंगी और हमें अपने परम लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति हो जायेगी । आज निन्दित विचारों के तट पर माया-मोह के झंझावात से धैर्य रुपी वृक्ष की जड़ें उखड़ गई है । अहंकार रुपी वायु की प्रबलता से हृदय रुपी समुद्र में तूफान उठ खड़ा हुआ है, जिसमें क्रोध और घृणा रुपी घड़ियाल तैरते है और अहंभाव एवं सन्देह रुपी नाना संकल्प-विकल्पों की संतत भँवरों में निन्दा, घृणा और ईर्ष्या रुपी अगणित मछलियाँ विहार कर रही है । यघपि यह समुद्र इतना भयानक है तो भी हमारे सदगुरु साई महाराज उसमें अगस्त्य स्वरुप ही है । इसलिये भक्तों को किंचितमात्र भी भयभीत होने की आवश्यकता नहीं है । हमारे सदगुरु तो जहाज है और वे हमें कुशलतापूर्वक इस भयानक भव-समुद्र से पार उतार देंगे ।



प्रार्थना

श्री सच्चिदानंद साई महाराज को साष्टांग नमस्कार करके उनके चरण पकड़ कर हम सब भक्तों के कल्याणार्थ उनसे प्रार्थना करते है कि हे साई । हमारे मन की चंचलता और वासनाओं को दूर करो । हे प्रभु । तुम्हारे श्रीचरणों के अतिरिक्त हममें किसी अन्य वस्तु की लालसा न रहे । तुम्हारा यह चरित्र घर-घर पहुँचे और इसका नित्य पठन-पाठन हो और जो भक्त इसका प्रेमपूर्वक अध्ययन करें, उनके समस्त संकट दूर हो ।



फलश्रुति (अध्ययन का पुरस्कार)

अब इस पुस्तक के अध्ययन से प्राप्त होने वाले फल के सम्बन्ध में कुछ शब्द लिखूँगा । इस ग्रन्थ के पठन-पठन से मनोवांछित फल की प्राप्ति होगी । पवित्र गोदावरी नदी में स्नान कर, शिरडी के समाधि मन्दिर में श्री साईबाबा की समाधि के दर्शन कर लेने के पश्चात इस ग्रन्थ का पठन-पाठन या श्रवण प्रारम्भ करोगे तो तुम्हारी तिगुनी आपत्तियाँ भी दूर हो जायेंगी । समय-समय पर श्री साईबाबा की कथा-वार्ता करते रहने से तुम्हें आध्यात्मिक जगत् के प्रति अज्ञात रुप से अभिरुचि हो जायेगी और यदि तुम इस प्रकार नियम तथा प्रेमपूर्वक अभ्यास करते रहे तो तुम्हारे समस्त पाप अवश्य नष्ट हो जायेंगें । यदि सचमुच ही तुम आवागमन से मुक्ति चाहते हो तो तुम्हें साई कथाओं का नित्य पठन-पाठन, स्मरण और उनके चरणों में प्रगाढ़ प्रीति रखनी चाहिये । साई कथारुपी समुद्र का मंथन कर ुसमें से प्राप्त रत्नों का दूसरों को वितरण करो, जिससे तुम्हें नित्य नूतन आनन्द का अनुभव होगा और श्रोतागण अधःपतन से बच जायेंगे । यदि भक्तगण अनन्य भाव से उनकी शरण आयें तो उनका ममत्व नष्ट होकर बाबा से अभिन्नता प्राप्त हो जायेगी, जैसे कि नदी समुद्र में मिल जाती है । यदि तुम तीन अवस्थाओं (अर्थात्- जागृति, स्वप्न और निद्रा) में से किसी एक में भी साई-चिन्तन में लीन हो जाओ तो तुम्हारा सांसारिक चक्र से छुटकारा हो जायेगा । स्नान कर प्रेम और श्रद्घयुक्त होकर जो इस ग्रन्थ का एक सप्ताह में पठन समाप्त करेंगे, उनके सारे कष्ट दूर हो जायेंगे या जो इसका नित्य पठन या श्रवण करेंगे, उन्हें सब भयों से तुरन्त छुटकारा मिल जायेगा । इसके अध्ययन से हर एक को अपनी श्रद्घा और भक्ति के अनुसार फल मिलेगा । परन्तु इन दोनों के अभाव में किसी भी फल की प्राप्ति होना संभव नहीं है । यदि तुम इस ग्रन्थ का आदरपूर्वक पठन करोगे तो श्री साई प्रसन्न होकर तुम्हें अज्ञान और दरिद्रता के पाश से मुक्त कर, ज्ञान, धन और समृद्घि प्रदान करेंगे । यदि एकाग्रचित होकर नित्य एक अध्याय ही पढ़ोगे तो तुम्हें अपरिमित सुख की प्राप्ति होगी । इस ग्रन्थ को अपने घर पर गुरु-पूर्णिमा, गोकुल अष्टमी, रामनवमी, विजयादशमी और दीपावली के दिन अवश्य पढ़ना चाहिये । यदि ध्यानपूर्वक तुम केवल इसी ग्रन्थ का अध्ययन करते रहोगे तो तुम्हें सुख और सन्तोष प्राप्त होगा और सदैव श्री साई चरणारविंदो का स्मरण बना रहेगा और इस प्रकार तुम भवसागर से सहज ही पार हो जाओगे । इसके अध्ययन से रोगियों को स्वास्थ्य, निर्धनों को धन, दुःखित और पीड़ितों को सम्पन्नता मिलेगी तथा मन के समस्त विकार दूर होकर मानसिक शान्ति प्राप्त होगी ।

मेरे प्रिय भक्त और श्रोतागण । आपको प्रणाम करते हुए मेरा आपसे एक विशेष निवेदन है कि जिनकी कथा आपने इतने दिनों और महीनों से सुनी है, उनके कलिमलहारी और मनोहर चरणों को कभी विस्मृत न होने दें । जिस उत्साह, श्रद्गा और लगन के साथ आप इन कथाओं का पठन या श्रवण करेंगे, श्री साईबाबा वैसे ही सेवा करने की बुद्घि हमें प्रदान करेंगे । लेखक और पाठक इस कार्य में परस्पर सहयोग देकर सुखी होवें ।



प्रसाद - याचना

स पुस्तक को समाप्त करते हुए सर्वशक्तिमान परमात्मा से निम्नलिखित कृपा या प्रसादयाचना करते है –

हे ईश्वर । पाठकों और भक्तों को श्री साई-चरणों में पूर्ण और अनन्य भक्ति दो । श्री साई का मनोहर स्वरुप ही उनकी आँखों में सदा बसा रहे और वे समस्त प्राणियों में देवाधिदेव साई भगवान् का ही दर्शन करें । एवमस्तु ।

Sai Satchritra - Epilogue



We have done with Chapter 51 and now we come to the last Chapter (No. 52 in
the original). In this Hemadpant gave his concluding remarks and promised to
give an index, giving the contents of all the Chapters in verse as is given in
Marathi sacred books, but unfortunately that index was not found in Hemabdpant's
papers. It was therefore, composed and supplied by an able and worthy devotee of
Sai Baba, Mr. B.V. Deo (Retired Mamlatdar) of Thana.



As we give in English books an index in the beginning and contents of each
Chapter at its top, we need not consider the last index Chapter here; and so we
consider this Chapter as the Epilogue. Unfortunately Hemadpant did not survive
to revise the manuscript of this Chapter and made it ready for the press. When
it was sent to the press Mr. Deo found it to be incomplete and unintelligible in
certain places; but it had to be published as it was found. The chief topics
dealt therein are briefly given below.



Greatness of Sad-guru Sai

We prostrate ourselves
before and take refuge in that Sai Samarth Who besets all animate and inanimate
things in the universe-from a post to God Brahma, pots, houses, mansions and
even sky, Who pervades all creatures equally without any differentiation, to
Whom all devotees are alike; and Who knows not honour and dishonour, like or
dislike. If we remember Him and surrender to Him, He fulfills all our desires
and makes us attain the goal of life.



This ocean of mundane existence is very hard to cross. Waves of infatuation
beat high there against the bank of bad thoughts and break down trees of
fortitude. The breeze of egoism blows forcibly and makes the ocean rough and
agitated. Crocodiles in the form of anger and hatred move there fearlessly.
Eddies in the form of the idea "I and Mine" and other doubts whirl there
inecessantly and innumerable fishes in the form of censure, hate and jealousy
play there, Though this ocean is so fierce and terrible, Sad-guru Sai is its
Agasti (Destroyer) and the devotees of Sai have not the least to fear of it. Our
Sadguru is the boat, which will safety take us across this ocean.



Prayer

Now are fall flat before Sai Baba and holding
His Feet make the following prayer for the public:- Let not our mind wander and
desire anything except Thee. Let this work (Satcharita) be in every house and
let it be studied daily. Ward off the calamities of those who study it
regularly.



Fala-Shruti (Reward of Study)

Now a few words about
the reward you get, from a study of this work. After bathing in the sacred
Godavari and after taking the darshan of the Samadhi in the Samadhi-mandir in
Shirdi, you should read or hear the Satcharita. If you do this all your
threefold afflictions will vanish.



Casually thinking about the stories of Sai, you will get unconsciously
interested in spiritual life and if you then go on through the work with love,
all your sins will be destroyed. If you wish to get rid of the cycle of births
and deaths, read Sai's stories and remember Him always; and get yourself
attached (devoted) to His Feet. If you dive into the sea of Sai's stories, and
then give them out to others, you will get an ever-new flavour of them and save
the hearers from perdition.



If you go on meditating on Sai's Form, it will in course of time disappear
and lead you into self-realization. It is very hard to know or realize the
nature of Self or Brahma, but if you approach through the Sugun Brahma (Sai's
Form) your progress will be easy. If the devotee completely surrenders himself
to Him, he will lose his individuality and be merged in Him and be one with Him,
as the river in the sea. If you thus become merged with Him in any of the three
states, viz., waking, dream and sleep, you get rid of the bond of samsara.



If anybody after bathing reads this with love and faith,and completes it
within a week, his calamities will disappear; or if he hears or reads it daily
and regularly all his dangers will be warded off. By its study, a man wishing
for wealth will get it and a pure trader, success in his life. He will get the
reward according to his faith and devotion. Without these, there will be no
experience of any kind. If you read this respectfully, Sai will be pleased, and
removing you ignorance and poverty, He will give you knowledge, wealth and
prosperity. With concentrated mind, if you read a Chapter daily, it will give
you unbounded happiness. One who has his welfare at heart, should study it
carefully and then he will ever remember Sai gratefully and joyfully in birth
after birth.



This work should be read at home specially on Guru-Pournima (Ashadha
full-moon day), Gokul-Ashtami, Rama-Navami and Dasara (Baba's anniversary day).
If you study this one book carefully, all your desires will be satisfied and if
you always remember Sai's Feet in your heart, you will easily cross the Bhava
(Samsar) sagar. By its study, the diseased and sick will get health, the poor
wealth, the mean and afflicted prosperity, and the mind will get rid of all
ideas and get steadiness.

Dear good and devoted readers and listeners, we
also make our bow to you all, and make you a special request.



Never forget Him whose stories you have read day by day or month by month.
The more fervently you read or listen to these stories, the more encouragement
Sai gives us to serve you and be of use to you. Both the author and the readers
must co-operate in this work, help each other and be happy.



Prasad-Yachana

We close the with prayer to the
Almighty for the following Prasad of favour:- May the readers and devotees get
complete and whole-hearted devotion to Sai's Feet. May His Form be ever fixed in
their eyes and may they see Sai (the Lord) in all beings. amen!
